The Greatest Story Ever Told

The Gospel of Matthew provides amazing examples of the power and accuracy of God's prophets who had foretold the coming of the Messiah.  From his humble birth by a virgin in Bethlehem, to his crucifixion with criminals and resurrection from the dead, Jesus did what the prophets had predicted - he fulfilled every prophecy and fit every description of the Jewish Savior.

As we study this gospel, we will follow the dramatic story, predicted in detail centuries before, of Jesus, the Messiah, King of kings, and Lord of lords...and your Savior too.

Getting To Know Some NT People

Since we are going to meet the people of the Bible when we get to heaven, we should get to know them better in this life. I want us to look at several of the people that we find in the New Testament. Some of them we know better than others. Some are better known than others. All of them we want to get to know or get to know better.

Samson: The Flickering Light

Charles Spurgeon said, "Samson is, in many respects, one of the most remarkable men whose history is recorded in the pages of inspiration."
Perhaps the most remarkable feature of Samson's life, the feature for which he is best known, was his strength. His strength was of such measure that he could kill a lion with his bare hands, slay a thousand men with the jawbone of a donkey, and could lift massive pillars and gates from their foundation and carry them miles away.
Yet, in spite of his remarkable strength, he was a man of remarkable weakness.
He could conquer others but he could not conquer himself.
